Echoes from the Vault is a sound library recorded inside the former Bank of Spain building in Jaén, designed by Rafael Moneo and preserved almost untouched since its opening in the 1980s. Now repurposed as part of the Proyecto Misión digital innovation initiative, the space retains its original architectural character and sonic identity.
From the sharp clack of a metal service window to the cavernous resonance of the main hall, each sound captures the cold, institutional atmosphere of an era defined by rigid architecture, stamped paper, and silent waiting.
Perfect for cinematic sound design, retro-futuristic environments, installations, narrative games, or experimental music with a historical texture.
